And I bet you a million bucks that song was made in Ableton. Its got that unavoidable
sound to it. And don't try to lie and say it was made with Cubase or some bullshit. Its like a permanent watermark when you mix with Live.
I like the song though.
With that being said, you ladies have a wonderful evening! I had the day off, and what better way to spend it, then to be on the Ableton forums blasting fools left and right. It was very entertaining and insightful. I learned a lot about people today. Actually, it's stuff I already knew.. but yeah, a few curve balls in there. That was fun.
All in all - It was most successful! We managed to prove that no one is willing to discuss the unexplainable. And that, believe it or not, is progress! I like progress! Now, once we can get past the hurdle of everyone thinking their shit don't stink and we are masters of all, we can probably move ahead in this debate and actually figure out the key that we are missing.
Until then, later bitches!

I would expect a super-critical person to call a program by its name.

Very simple...
It is cleaner/less fuzzy in low end and more detailed in high frequency.
Distortion is smoother and not close to the grainy export from Live.
I don't know what monitors you use, but I use Yamaha HS80's and they are very precise,
especially in higher frequency range. They are very detailed...
If you can, please take the mix-downs to a friend with Adam's, DynAudio or Yamaha monitors if possible.
Let me know how they sounded there and what your friend thinks.
Cheers

Another failed comedian.
Newsflash! Science degrees aren't light bulbs, dumbass!
You're so into yourself! You are truly your biggest fan. The funny thing I've noticed about you, is that you can't help but create threads about yourself that are titled in the third person - So you will see some bullshit like this -> "Tarkekith's guide to being a know it all.. by Tarekith" - Now thats some creepy shit right there!
Just based on that fact alone, I wouldn't trust anything audio related with you. Period! Ever!
Sorry, I couldn't resist - I've been waiting to get my hands on that elusive fucker. So I had to get my chance while I still could!

I'd hate to see what happens when he doesn't get desert...
Xbox broken?
Are you one of those guys who sits in the same place for an hour sniping everyone or do you just go gung ho and shout obscenities at the person who killed you then hunt him down for the rest of the time until mom says it's enough because she can't get to sleep?

Ya know what? I'm here and now saying what a lot of people wont say or are afraid to say, out of social pressures to "keep it cool" and look like your good little citizen.
Fuck all that bullshit. I'm not here to kiss some douchebags ass because hes thinks hes a mastering engineer. Those are self proclaimed titles and are pretty much meaningless. Its just a way to present yourself as being more professional then you really are or ever will be.
No REAL fuckin mastering engineer is even going to step foot in a thread like this and debate or try to make wise cracks that don't make sense to begin with.
Posturing, its all posturing - Thats the Internet in a nutshell.

but i ve to admit that the mouth of the crazy wild man tells some truth here.. reading the katz book the one day and beeing a mastering pro that writes own guides the next week? now that i call a selfmade man.
