Ok, major stupidity on your part in so many ways so its hard to know where your coming from Paris or New York. For you to read anything i show takes alot of intelligence an comprehension to understand. If this is you, you would have recognized right away much of the work on these websites are acclaimed writings with no special party interest. Figure that out the next time you post or make ridiculous claims to something on your mind as you try to interpret me from a distance. i will keep posting these websites in my interpretation to the first post about the wanna-be olson twins protecting thier race identity. Eurabia is good example of a whole continent with a huge identity problem an not remembering its history. How could Europe forget the Crusades. Europe was built on the Catholic Church need i say more. An the person who started the Crusades was the Pope which I will post the speech. Tell me if you see this as propaganda. I do have a million websites and books i gather my information from to say the least. but at least the web is good for something so heres more of the same. Read on if you can stand it.
The first two webpages i consider major reading sincethese are actual books in print.

hum... you are partly right about Europe's identity problem, but if you ask me, this is due to Hollywood, McDonald's and Puff Daddy.

Ok, after an admittedly carelessly brief gander at ask.com using the question "Was Hitler a socialist?" I came across too many articles supporting both sides of the argument to thoroughly sift through today. I does seem that he was a follower of Marx in philosophy, especially Marx' anti-semitism. Nazi Germany did not have worker owned businesses, but I'm at a loss to think of a single "socialist" nation that does have worker owned businesses. By this definition the Soviet Union never was a socialist state, neither Cuba, nor China, nor North Korea, ect. The state certainly did have a great deal of control over the "private" corporations of Nazi Germany. It is also good to remember that definitions of "left" and "right" are very different today than in the late 1920's. Truly it was a complex situation, and is hard to define in modern political terms.

Are you triying to prove that the EU will be muslim?
See the failure of major 19th century ideologies (communism, etc...) led the "forgotten" of western society to be left w/ nothing but religion to make believe in a better place. the come back of religion is seen everywhere, in EU, Asia, US, etc....
One thing though, do you know what Alamut is???? hassan Saaba's place, the original Ben laden, credited for the birth of the Ashashins, word known as Assassin.

The basic organisational unit in the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics was the Soviet (council), which is roughly comparable to early labour local unions as we saw them all over Europe from the late 1850's. You'd have a number of soviets within a given territory organised into a republic which then (in theory) formed the next tier of power, all up to the Supreme Soviet in Moscow.
It's not 'worker owned' as in the workers had the deed, but then quite a few of the givens related to property right, ownership etc. that are applicable under other judicial systems were radically different under Soviet law. The basic premise in a socialist state is that the state IS the people, I think, and as such anything anything owned by the state is owned by the people.
Hope that makes sense... I can feel that High School is increasingly far away..!

Thanks for that. Yes, that makes sense, but certainly doesn't seem like it worked that way in practicality. It looks good on paper, but in reality didn't the flow of power go from the top-down? Stalin wouldn't have had the power he had if power flowed from the bottom-up.

I don't really know that much about the reality of it, to be honest, but I'd be quite surprised if the truth wasn't somewhere in between the Politburo's propaganda and what you generally hear/d about how it was all terror, oppression and unamerican. But that could just be my inner vegetarian anthropology student speaking

You know... sometimes I think a simpler system would be similar to the old tribal or clan systems of centuries ago. Not that everything was peaceful and rosey then, just simpler.

I think it was just complicated in different ways, really.
