Yes, you have the user path right, but you should be aware that there are two different preset types. The default ones are specific to Zebra2 and won't show up in the AU preset browser list, only the zebra browser, as it states in the readme when you download. To get the preset library in the usual AU format, you can download it from the site.leonard wrote:is that sarcasm or are you calling me silly?
regardless, they go in /system/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/ for global, or ~/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/ for user.
as per the instructions oin the online manual.
(and yes the folder was u-he on my system, i just didn't type it out properly)
Professional Shark Jumper.
hey just tried to buy the full zebra (144 euros at the moment anyway...) and couldnt, cos apparently my email adress isnt good enough? They say you cant use a free email adress.... i thought most email adresses were free? why do they do this?
i want to pay by credit card and get a quick download.
Should i just go get a "proper" (i.e paying) web adress?
where can i get one?
thanks

Re: Zebra Rocks...
Sure! - There's a lot of dudes that I admire for what they do, even though they work for competing companies.mercyplease wrote:As a developer your self are there other programmers you respect. I mean in your world is it the same as musicians.?
Thing is that most of us get along with each pretty well. We use to meet up on trade shows and have lots of beers. That's the great thing among the independent audio developers, such as FXpansion, Camel Audio, PSP and Ohmforce. We all share the same love to do what we do, which gives us some kind of comunity feel rather than being competitors.
That's referring to such things as a Hotmail or Yahoo email account. Use the one that your ISP gave you and you're set.jesso wrote:hey just tried to buy the full zebra (144 euros at the moment anyway...) and couldnt, cos apparently my email adress isnt good enough? Oh... don't put them in MacHD/System/Library/... just MacHD/Library/...leonard wrote:is that sarcasm or are you calling me silly?

Please note also that the paths are case sensitive. Everything starts with a capital letter except for u-he
As ew already stated, the presets specific to plugin types (.aupreset, .fxp) come as separate downloads. 1365 .aupresets are 14 MB, while my own patch format (.h2p) is considerably smaller - and works crossplatform in all versions. It can just not be loaded through host interfaces, which are usually more tedious than the one in Zebra's gui.
thanks urs,
Ive sent you an email to [email protected], its from jessebooth1980. Be great if you can sort me out!

I mainly use a doepfer modular, the nord micro modular and a dsi evolver which I'll probably sell. I guess in an instrument like Zebra with a highly modular level of complexity I actually find patchcords to be more intuitive than pulldown menus and routing matrices. It took me a while to figure out how to turn the reverb off.dmacintyre wrote:What are you using at the moment? Where you are coming from makes a big difference to your perception of anything new.
Anyway, thanks for the responses. I think I need to delve into it more deeply because judging by all of these responses I'm missing something special and probably didn't give it a fair chance.
