Hikacking the thread back on topic
Just going back to its title "Why is this software so f**king great" I will just say:
I haven't a F**king clue! All I know is that I am more productive with it than any single piece of software I've used since 1994.
About v. 6: No matter how loyal I am, I still usually don't upgrade software unless there is something really special about the upgrade, and damned if v. 6 isn't really incredible. I haven't really don't the exact test yet, but I could swear it's more efficient on my Pentium 4 system than 5.2.

But yeah, I find it a million times more musical than other things (that's just my opinion of course). Some people underestimate it and say it's a toy, but they've formed their opinion by messing for 5 seconds with the Live4 digidesign Lite edition for instance, so they're the ones missing out.
that toy-"argument" against live always sounds way stupid, due to music-making shouldn´t be too complicated and hyper-professional. it´s about inspiration, flow, happiness, detail and a certain magic putting all together and make the soup explode in your mouth. therefore, live ain´t a no-toy, and that´s simply good thing.
