This is interesting...
Uses Mackie Control, and it works as a standalone controller. Maybe a replacement for the Behringer knob-job?

And what about an alternative to the FCB-1010? Roland has a new offering that really doesn't add much it seems, but may be an alternative...

Best thing from NAMM this year was by far the collaboration between m-audio and gemini to produce a new hybrid midi/audio mixer called the "Brewster Dog Mixer".
Just picked one up, this thing rocks, especially used with ms.pinky:
Other than that, most things at NAAM seemed like the same old same old.

Yup, no Logic 8, nothing from anybody I'm interested in besides Waldorf.

that mackie c4 would be an excellent replacement for the bcr2000. Plus having your parameters displayed on the scribble strips would be awesome in a dark club.

Now that it's completely over, it's clear from allot of the "reviewers" like magazines and such that this is the second winter namm in a row that was basically un-interesting for software people.
apple logic pro and propellerheads reason (something or another) were the two "sure bets" that would have some news. At least with the prop's, something is commin' up......someday. And (and yes I'm talking inside information....not to be trusted anymore!) digidesign was absolutely positivly supposed to release a "digi 003" upgrade to the fairly antiquated 002 line.
There are a couple of things that are certainly interesting.....but nothing ground-breaking.......so the question..
It technology at a stalemate?
I'll pose it as a new question/poll

Forget NAMM, it's all gonna happen at Musikmesse.
