K, this is off-topic, but it's Ableton/London related.

I organize the International Human Beatbox Convention. It's on 19-20 April at the Southbank Centre in London. On the Sunday we've got an Ableton Live workshop with Ableton sponsored artist Kid Beyond. He'll be showing us how he uses the software to help him accomplish his amazing looping performances.

It's going to be an awesome event (Kid Beyond is also performing a 60 min set for the closing concert on the evening of Sun 20th) so please do come and check it out.

The daytime stuff (workshop etc) is free to attend. The concert is ticketed. All info is on the site linked at the top of this post.

I'm very keen on seeing Kid beyond perform live. Been interested ever since I saw his video on the Ableton site. Also I hear beardy man is pretty bad ass.

oh... and the Ableton Users group last month was indeed productive!

Meeting up with Robb and a few other Ableton users on Thursday 17th to talk about an Ableton night. If anyone's in this neck of the woods (London) and they're interested in playing out PM me or Robb.

Reckon I'll be up for some Beatboxing this weekend. Been talking to a mate about going to the evening gig, but wouldn't mind popping down during the day too.

Ooh, it's a London Users Group outing! ;)

Awesome. I'm really glad you chaps will come to check it out. Just to clarify, the daytime schedule includes open mics, showcases and the Kid Beyond workshop. This is free to attend.

The concert with Beardyman, Kid Beyond etc is in the evening and is ticketed. You can find all the info on the website, including links to buy tix.

I look forward to meeting you all. You'll know who I am, coz I'll be the guy running aboot like a headless chicken. ;)

EDIT: It's now been announced on the Ableton.com. Nice. :)

Just a belated congratulations to Archangel for putting on a great event. "Mad skills" from many of the performers. And nice to meet you too. 8)

Jez and I will be in touch about later this year (if he hasn't already...)
