Odd very vague connection to fascism with Rammstein strangely enough.. They started off doing Laibach covers, hence the same + symbol for both bands. So, that symbol is the same as the cross that the nazis gave to Yugoslavian ss soldiers apparently, at least that's the story I heard.
Here's the image from an early Laibach record. You can see the axes forming a swastika barley.

Remember, Laibach are a band that used fascism to mock a strict communism in it's day, and later to mock the west as a new fascism. They're far from fascists themselves.

Rammstein even took that a step further and named themselves after a US military base. They probably get a sort of glee out of knowing that very very subtly they are mocking german anti nazi laws with their co-opting of that symbol.

So there's the connection.

Yes, they were catholics. like all of spain long before franco. So what, if some church officials sided with faschist, your average joe in a village and his priest most of all just wanted to live. You ignorant, word-twisting moron, I never said franco wasn't an asshole. I'm saying they were all assholes, so yes, if you want it like that, faschism isn't worse than lots of other isms to me. that doesn't make it good. Anyone not caught up in some ideology can spot the flaw in your logic.
