sorry tone. i genuinely admire your commitment and input to this community most of the time but right now you're being an ass.

i read through this thread again just to understand how you could take nathans words the way you have and i just dont get it.

his latest announcment about the response on youtube and him being picked as a finalist is nothing more than pride at his achievment and obviously the excitement he's feeling about the contest. i'm happy for the guy. if it were you i'd feel the same way.

he mentioned there'd be an announcement on ammo box after the contest. obviously he's probably going to pursue this as a product he can sell and maybe make a living from. once again good luck to him...why shouldn't this be an option?

c'mon fella, are you sure you dont want that hug now

mountains and molehills. history. we'll see how it pans out. how's this? I'll put up or shut up. ;)

yes, I went over the top, I was trolling him, being bad.

this is me shutting up, I hear you.

but I am picking up time coded vinyl on my way home tonight, I'm motivated! I dig this guy's a good programmer though, hmmm...

you don't see his hypocrisy? seriously, this guy's a twat.

I hear you forge, please understand this all started with a polite comment about a subject change, then me rattling the monkey's cage and him responding, I took trolling too far.

like I wrote above, I'll leave him alone 'cause some are interested in his work.
even if that's true, it's his thread... and the title - jeez man, not very buddhist of you, with a title like that it should be filled with lotuses and boodhisattvas!! what Nathan said is true - happy people don't follow other people around to dump shit on them, no matter whether what you say is true or not

oh fuck off, nathan will whore it around, the guy's just a whiner. oh clueless one, don't fan the flames of all that bullshit, does nobody no good.

to use his stuff you'll need Reaktor and Ms Pinky, if you have those you can build it yourself pretty easily.

Timecode is fun, but it's still a simulation.

He's nice, but I still like my man the most:

Hi guys,

Some bad (and maybe good) news, got e-mail from Ableton today that they're declining the idea as a stand-alone instrument (ala Tension, etc) and are not interested in the concept.

Frankly, I can't blame them, it's a little niche for their product and they're running a business but I gave them the first crack at it.. However, if it's something you want who knows, maybe if you email them it'll change their minds. Even though I'm getting about 1,000 hits a day and 99.9% positive comments maybe they don't get it?

I'm going to be up late tonight (probably all night) trying to finish my preperation for the CDM contest tomorrow, if you've ever tried to take a prototype from the lab out into the field you know the pain, I'm running into all sorts of weird problems (oddly enough not ammobox related, but more asinine like I can't find the power supply for my mixer and spent 20 minutes looking for my laptop power supply as well.. Power supplies in general have been giving me trouble)

Thats my update for now. I really haven't had time to catch up on the various threads about ammobox but after Sunday I'll go through and try to answer whatever questions I can.

[edit] Just found the mixer power supply, hurray

A little trivia about me, I have 8 x 30 gallon boxes that're completely filled with wires. Every type, usb, firewire, speaker, 1/4th inch, RCA, serial, parallel, fiber optic (it counts), SCSI, SATA, molex, 3 and 2 prong power, CAT-4/5/6, phone, keyboard extenders, and about 9 million OEM 'no-name' wall-wart power supplies made by great chineses companies with names like 'Achme'

Also, while the wires themselves are all bundled up and secured with zip-ties, I've not yet gotten around to sorting them. So finding this stupid power supply just made my night.
