i would pay to hav automation in session. also i would love to see more focus for live djs. suh as multiple loop positions that can be triggered on the fly. less new effects and insturment you have to pay for and mroe clever ways to improve efficiency and workflow.
yes please

I'd pay an extra $10 for a decent fucking piano sound.

the EIC piano is pretty usable, unless you are a concert pianist on the sly, in which case it might not suit you.

While it may bring more creative options I think it's also going to add a cluster fuck of a mess and Max isn't exactly known for it's simplicity. I don't care how many picture icons they add. It's like Live is going to become Reaktor:The Daw.
Yeah, it scares me too. The company that makes the worst interface teaming up with the company that makes the best could equal mediocrity?

Isn't there a completely new interface in the latest Max? I seem to recall the reviews saying there was and that it was a lot better.

 That's it right there! The sum of the collaboration... Phew.. We can now all stop this crazy time consuming speculation!

EIC sound great. But $$$$. How is it that Garageband has a decent piano, but Live....?

i dont understand why everyone is excited and excited about not to be excited about Live 8 when there's not even a spec sheet for Live 8's new features and improvements...

until i see something from Ableton, i aint going to even think about it...

I was slow to upgrade to 7. I won't be slow to get 8. Too much fun.

Besides hoping for session automation, group/folder tracks, no more 128 parameter limit and more rack macros, I'm hoping the cycling '74 collab turns the issue of whether or not people are happy with ableton's native effects, into a non-issue. I'm not very familiar with the pluggo effects quality, but I'm sure it's decent enough to allow for some great effects creations, sequencing and all the rest of the stuff many of us moan about in regards to the ableton package. In fact I remember Robert Henke, in his video tutorial saying in reference to the new collaboration, something like here's ableton's chorus - take it or leave it... but with cycling '74 stuff embedded, it won't be a take it or leave it situation, more of a make your own or modify things sorta deal. I think that'll be great. Very exciting - to me that means the interface will be the same (simple and straight forward when you need it), but more to modify under the hood. I don't think that will add any clutter at all.

Oh, and a native limiter would be nice, but I'm happy with yohng's free W1 for now.
