How can I toogle a live-device on and off (global) with this script/setup? Ok, it`s great to navigate and control/focus on various live-devices with the Nocturn, but it would be even better if I could also press on/off when focusing on a device.... I`m not using all the devices at the same time, which means that some effects has to be turned on and off at various times.... Any suggestion?

as to my knowledge there is no chance doing that with control surfaces. prove me wrong, but i think you need to manually map the on/off-switches..

I highly recommend adding a nanoKontrol. Myralfur's nanoKontrol script comes with the device on/off button pre-mapped:

It's an awesome combination with the Nocturn using guille's Noturn script. While the script shared in this thread is good for what it is, the new python script for Nocturn made by guille is far, far superior:

Along with instant device mapping, you get the faderfox style scene/track navigation with two encoders, quantize, scrub, clip scrub, loop start, loop length, a pitch knob that works on both audio AND midi clips, transport control, mute, solo, send/return, tap tempo, nudge up/down, selecting a track to arm and select device, the ability to choose to have it not arm when you select tracks (for live use)...etc. It's nuts!!!

Well, I have 4 controllers now, so it should be enough ... I think the on/off-function/button on devices is working on the new Akai-controller, but maybe Im wrong here...(I tried it some months ago..)

Is the new python script only working in midi-channel 1,2,4 and 4??? I have already assign a lot of stuff on those channels in my setup (automap and some other controllers as well)...will be a lot of work to change this, and probably a lot of conflicts with the launchpad as well..

Is it possible to do any changes in the script and use midi-channel 11,12,13 and 14 instead (which is not in use/assigned)..??

this doesnt work for me. i've been having hassle after hassle trying all these scripts. sorry to be a drag but i'm jealous everyone is having success with theirs and i'm not.

i followed the readme but not luck.

Ive done this and it is working fine, however i want to be able to use it on 2 different midi channels and it wont let me, what do I do?
