Isn't songwriting applied dyslexia ?Pitch Black wrote:every worse, my fucking year dyslexia gets
Being mildly crazy might offer some advantages, even. One could get a monthly check from Uncle Sam. Save a bundle on mind-altering substances. Design the next Windows. Partake in activities sane folks might get jail for... and the girls? See where saying "I'm totally sane about you, baby" gets you. No one cares much for the lunacy deficient, man. It could be as well declared a handicap.

I’m hoping I’m wrong and maybe somebody can correct me here, but it appears you can no longer drag files from iTunes on one computer to iTunes on another. For example you rip a movie on one Mac and want to drag it to the library on another Mac, or create a playlist on one and want to drag it to another. You could easily do that before the latest version of iTunes. Now it seems you have to export those to something like Dropbox and then import that file.

Propellerhead Figure is now free.
I like flipping it sideways and just playing the sounds as pads.
Really wish there was a way to hold pads while tweaking, without having to record.
Apparently there is stronger integration with prop's audio recording app, scales or something, which now has autotune.

The "just manic enough to make investors a lot of money" part of this talk got me thinking.shadx312 wrote:Reminds me of The Man With the Golden Fanny Pack
Here's one of my ideas that's just manic enough to make a lot of money (well, potentially, at least). What if musical works were launched like a Wall Street IPO. Someone who bought the song or album would become its part owner, and get a pie of its profits commensurate with whatever he paid in, as with a company stock. So people would actually have a financial interest in seeing the song or album not being ripped off. Crowdfunding doesn't confer part-ownership, but this approach would. What do you guys think?
Re: iPad
The light bulb in my fridge is blowing like every 2 months which is way too often. I was thinking it’s not shutting off when I close the door so I started shooting a video with my iPhone and put it in the fridge to see what happens when I close the door.
It is going off when I close the door so I don’t know WTF.

Less than a year.shadx312 wrote:How old is your fridge?
The property management bought it so not my financial problem (other than light bulbs).

Re: iPad
It could be bad wiring, maybe mgmt could have a guy come out to fix or replace the fridge?
Every 2 months is whack, yo.
Because the thing is is that could mean it's 'violating' energy guidelines.
And if The Man finds out mgmt isn't following those then they'll probably get shipped off to Colombia and have to spend the rest of their lives as coca farmers and if they're lucky it's for a family that is more forgiving.

I’m expecting a lot of meh reviews for the Apple Watch because they are already out there from reviewers who got a prerelease demo. Best wearable on the market but buggy, available apps not too reliable, health tracking not reliable, you really have to stare at it for the screen to go on, requires more two hand use than a cell phone, iPod Nano with a watch strap was a better iPod wearable, and the notifications taps on the wrist takes you out of the moment and focus even more so than a phone.
Other than that…

The first rule of the iPad thread is you don’t have to respond to anybody in the iPad thread. If a conversation ensues then it’s best to just abruptly drop out of the conversation.
There will be no closure in the iPad thread!
