It seems more arrogant to show this' cultural sensitivy' and because they're so huge it's like they're pioneering erasing an ugly side to make a statement when they should just stfu and stick to R&D. These current pleas for coolness and acceptance of the youth are embarrassing. A cool dad isn't cool when he's trying to be cool.
Might have something to do with Cook being gay and sensitive to hate propaganda and associations.
For the small percentage of people who hold the confederate flag dear as a symbol of better times, I say fine. We’ll just shut off your electricity and phone, disconnect your indoor plumbing, and confiscate your cars. Enjoy living 150 years ago.

I don't want to influence the issue in this thread, and regardless of Cook...he already did a great thing coming out...it's not so much about the issue and Cook and Co' can do what they want but erasing content regardless of it's content is.....what would you call it, immature?
And then they bring it back at some point later which means what?
And should I just throw in that they forced U2s album onto everyone's iProduct without even notifying or asking?
Maybe it's just a matter of taste that I find disappointing because even if Jobs has an intricate roadmap for Apple that could cover the next 2000 years, I think he'd be pretty pissed off at the time and effort they waste on some shit. I don't say that out of some reverence but because I think even his asshole-ness is part of what made Apple better part of that is not wasting resources on the kind of PR shit that Apples been doing.
We get it Tim, you're not the Mr Burns that Steve was, get back to making great products.

Jobs would think it’s ridiculous to remove a civil war app because it shows civil war imagery.
Meh, I’m just tired of people/media/corporations getting hyper uppity over small or non-issues, but when it comes to making things better for as many people as possible they couldn’t give less of a shit. Not saying I’m an activist on these big picture issues. I’m just tired of seeing what others think is worth exhausting so much energy on.

"Small percentage"
If you consider a vast percentage of the population of most southern states and beyond "a small percentage" then you'd only have a couple of million families without power... no biggie

I don’t want to believe that, but you’re from the south, so…
So this thread doesn't get locked lets talk lightening cables. Pieces of shit is what they are. I have one that started fraying down to exposed wire which I patched with electrical tape. Another one may or may not charge depending on it's mood or what angle the cable is slightly bent at. idevice has the green charging icon even when it isn't charging. And they are all filthy even from being barely touched.

"Filthy" That's the problem with white cables and keys. Look great new... Like shit later.
fuckin iOS 7 disabled a lot of third party cables (that worked fine with iOS 6) so it's not worth rolling the dice buying a new one that isn't Apple's own Apple white

Can't we all just wear a thong?
wait, that's not how it goes...
Can't we all just hit a bong?
No...
Can't we all just win at Pong?
No....
I forgot how it goes
So who is going to be the first to bring haptic touch to devices? And by the time the other side gets it will it be better?

I got one of these, Logitech Easy Switch
-Just as sleek as Apple’s keyboard
-Backlit keys
-3 buttons to instantly switch between typing on your Mac or idevices
-Charges over USB instead of needing batteries. I need to charge maybe once every 4 months or so.

Can anyone recommend any particular pages of this thread... I kept track up to about two hundred but then I've missed a couple of months...
Is the 10" happening?
Cheers

I'm working on transferring this entire thread to a single document and then having Siri read it for an audio book.

that's what she said!
There's been no talk of size here since stringtapper's 6+ almost tipped the chair over when he put it to his head. No chips and salsa were harmed
