Anybody else already starting to put money aside for the next gen iPad?

I'm with you, bro. Right there. It's going to be great to have an iPad upstairs, and another one downstairs.

Oh my. Oh my, indeed.

Q.
Will any 'competitors' actually come out with a product that even remotely threatens Apple's total tablet dominance before iP2?

A.
I'm glad that the screen on the new iPad won't be the rumoured 7" that we've heard so much about.

:P

I'm waiting until Gen2 hits before I buy one.

Meanwhile, I just spoke to a manager of an AT&T store who said they haven't sold a single Galaxy in the two or so weeks since they first got them.

The new version of Touchable is, without a doubt, the finest fucking app for the iPad yet. I'm not fucking around here. It's a thing of pure beauty; and only ver2. I can't think of a single app that would be a better example of why the iPad was invented.

:x

beats, you've got to give this one a serious go.....the new connection method is vasty improved and a no brainer.

every time I go and look at Touchable's progress I forget their domain, so I just google "touchable" ... and I get this enjoyably NSFW LINK http://www.touchable.co.uk/shop-pages/s ... -bras.html

8O excellent new controllers, I think we can all agree. *cough*

Aaanyway - I'm also waiting until version 2 of the iPad before I leap in. We know the way Mr Jobs plays this game, early adopters usually get the shaft.

lol, no shaft here. Sure, there wasn't a front and back and side and upside down and 3D camera, but who cares? All the basics are covered. The iPad has performed exactly as advertised; no more, no less.

Same with my 1st gen iPhone. Still going strong and no real need to upgrade at this point.

Agreed. And if there ever are any problems it's not like Apple has the fix rate of let's say Ableton.

I'll be disappointed if Apple puts in a front facing camera but not a rear facing camera in the new iPad. I have very little use for face time and while I probably wouldn't do much with a rear facing camera it would be a hell of a lot more useful.

I tried the TouchAble update and it was indeed cool. Until I loaded up another set and it refused to update and when I relaunched it wouldn't connect. :D I mean :x

Some background apps drain your battery faster. I did notice my battery life moving down a lot faster than before multi-tasking. :x

On one of my apps that is GPS driven after a certain amount of time it gave a pop-up notifying me it hadn't detected any movement for awhile so it was quitting. THANKS FOR THAT *HUGS*!

If nothing else they need to add a kill switch that will shut down all background apps with a single touch.

The kill all switch is a good idea. Send jobby a mail :)

Yup.

Kill switch FTW.

Oh, and leaving a bunch of apps open and forgetting to kill them before running touchAble is a fucking BUZZKILL.

Yet something else I guess I should try when trouble shooting.

NASA has a shorter checklist when launching a shuttle. :x
