been looking for a new name for a while, but a while back a realised faster faster is now a pop indie punk band thats pretty active and getting a lot of fans, I had the name first but whatever it's time to move on.

but now it's really time to move on cause I keep getting messages from teenage girls on myspace saying the same f*ing thing every time "I saw your band this weekend, you guys rock and you're so cute"

I was thinking of maybe just "faster" or "the faster class" as in the smart kids class

I've been playing with a ton of names actually, nothing has felt right yet.

long time ago I was working with a buddy we wrote a few songs and he wanted to call it "the dead travel fast" quoting some vampire book. I like it, but it's not really mine ya know?

"faste", with an accent over the "e", or "aster"... sike, just kidding.... a name, at least for me, is something that just comes to me one night, sometimes after "thinking" I had the "right" one/new one several times over several months, after considering 20 to 300 new ones as possibly being the "right' one..... When I finally do come to the "right one", it's more of a spiritual consideration (like a Native American being named "little wolf", or the ancient derivation of a name given to a child), somewhat of a new identity for me that just "makes sense".... It, in my opinion, is nothing that ANYONE on ANY forum can do for you.... You're gonna have to come to that yourself. But, if you aren't necessarily thinking about a name on that level, which is fine, I'm sure someone will come up with a suggestion.

don't know why but I thought of that a long time ago and it's my favorite for a punk band

I realized it was kinda girly

but maybe someday I'll start a lofi indie band and use it. I've got the myspace reserved already woo hoo.
