I've always found these to be very good plug-ins, and of course, free stuff rules. Thanks for the link!

This is good, it uses a fair bit of cpu even when idle but already I think it's probably one of the best s/w vocoders I've used yet. Very usable.

Alright not strictly true.. But VST Mac and PC and Audio unit!
Been playing with it a bit now... Yes very usable indeed.. Seems stable too.. CPU does take a hit but not too much here.. Watch out for the spikes!

I've also seen they got a second version of TAL-DUB II. So, cool their stuff.

That's not true this Vocoder is rock solid and a complete hardware replacement. I cant tell the difference between it and my modded SVC350 that i have been using on stage since 1985' Hardcore development went into this one guys don't let the price tag influence you. This is a scene release for the good of the whole You all wanted a vocoder for Ableton well here it is-

SOUNDS RAD.
has anyone worked out how to input a carrier signal from another channel. thanks

insert it into an audio channel. set "audio to" of both the carrier and the modulator to this channel, one panned to the right the other panned to the left. then activate the upper red button in the plugin... that's it.
