Beatslicer plugin that takes live input, is midi triggered?

I've been looking for a plugin (osx based) that does this but can't find it anywhere:
A plugin that can take live audio input from a track, has a two bar buffer (for example), splits those 2 bars into 32 16th notes, and each one of those slices can be triggered by midi
The closest thing I've used is a Reaktor plugin (I forget the name) that gives you two midi triggerable positions in the buffer. A cool extra is that it has 3 different buffers, so if you want to stick with one loop you can. If it let you trigger a lot of positions it would be much more useful. It could be played like an instrument live allowing easy beatchopping.
Unfortunately everything else I'm finding does either 1) randomized beatchopping and doesn't let you trigger specific slices, or 2) lets you trigger specific slices but doesn't take a live input, you need to load a loop in the beginning.
There must be something out there. Maybe a Reaktor ensemble? HEEEEEEEELP!

You might find that
Molar vsti is what you're looking for. Although designed around the monome platform, it accepts all manner of midi input control, and is a really powerful sampler, slicer and midi sequencer. It's awesome. Does take some digging through the forums to grasp though...

Thanks, I'll try that out tonight. I just downloaded the free Haplome iPhone Monome emulator app so I can use that. (toddtreece.com/haplome) If all goes well maybe I'll take the plunge into the Monome, been thinking about it for a while. How's it been working out for you?

Instantsampler is cool but not really what I had in mind. It's not synched to the beat at all and you have to manually assign each key.
I looked into that monome effect mentioned a few responses ago but it's looking way more involved than I had in mind (possibly the most complicated effect ever:) I found the Reaktor ensemble I was referring to in my first post. It's called Beat Lookup. I'm thinking I'll try digging into the Beat Lookup ensemble and figuring out how to modify it. Wish me luck. I'll need it

give it some time, its an awesome live sampling tool. for syncing, you can sample onto any key/pad by drawing in notes in a midi clip, or by putting a Arpeggiator device in front of it to trigger the sampling in sync, etc.
but yea, beat lookup will do the job nicely too. really depends what you're trying to do.

on the other hand, so is beat lookup. really depends what you're trying to do.
Ahh genius! Drawing a midi pattern before the device would do exactly what I was thinking. I'll give that a try tonight. Thanks!

Perfect! Thanks for the great suggestion. I drew out a few midi clips that sequentially store the notes into Instantsampler whenever I trigger it. The ONLY drawback is that it's internal buffer is cleared whenever the audio stops, which sucks if you have a great sequence loaded and you want to riff on it and get it to tape. Muxter's site said he's working on that limitation. Until then I'll learn to deal, can't have it all. Can't wait to incorporate this into my regular rig
