Looping without "Warp"

Hi.

When I go to load in my samples, I can loop them but only when "Warp" is selected. The problem is that I do not know the exact bpm of the clip, so it either is way too fast or too slow. How can I loop a clip without entering the bpm?

Thanks.

Either use "Follow Actions" for that or simply set the Warp speed of the clip to the current tempo ("Warp Clip at xy BPM from here"), it will always run at its original tempo then.

Thanks for your response, unfortunately I have no idea what you mean by "follow actions" and I haven't gotten "warp clip at xy bpm from here" either. When I right click on the clip I do see a "warp clip at xy bpm from here" but when I select it nothing really happens.
Here's what I've got if it helps: http://eckelberrydesign.com/grab/dd3518 ... d89039.png

Thanks.

seems like a bit of rtfm'ing might come in handy ;)

The "Follow Actions" are located near the phrase "Follow Action" in your picture.

You are right! Perhaps if I looked at my own image closer I would see that it said it right there. Thanks all!

Rightclick on that yellowish/green "1" at the leftmost side of the waveform display. That will bring up a context menu with the option to "Warp from here".
