knobs and faders max out when adjusting with mouse

HI
For some reason, when I try to adjust a knob or fader in live 7 with the mouse, it goes automatically to the highest value and doesn't come back. I have to always click it and 'return to default'. Is there some way to set this correctly?

Hi Dmurthy.
that sounds quite strange. What kind of computer/operating system do you use? Do you use any special mouse driver (ie. Microsoft Intellipoint Mouse driver)?
Best,
Jörg

vista ultimate 32-bit and a logitech mx ?? mouse. I don't believe it is the mouse because it works fine for other apps like cubase, reason.

Hi,
very strange (not a known issue) , all I can do is shoot into the dark:
does your mouse come with a dedicated driver, or does it work plug&play? If it comes with a driver, please try uninstalling it (it should leave the basic features of the mouse regardless of the uninstallation).
If that does not help: do you use a laptop? If so, do you get similar problems with the trackpad as well?
Best,
Jörg

I'm having the exact same problem ...
Vista home premium, ableton 8.0.5 and MX revolution mouse.
Any change I try to make to a value using the mouse just maxes out that value and the mouse pointer jumps up and to the left.
Tried reinstalling drivers to no avail

Any ideas ?
Thx

happens when you use some form of tablet, too. much too sensitive, then. but as it's not a target market (while ableton + tablet == awesome, without that bug), it won't ever get fixed..
and yeah, check your mouse drivers.
