I open live, then reason. reason won't show up as a track input option. is my version of reason too old? that would suck...

Works OK for me, although I only use Reason 2.5 once a blue moon. It worked fine in L6 too. But it's better in L7 because of the external instrument plugin that tightens things up a tad.
Yes, there could be an issue with the rewire.dll file

if you're on an intel mac you may have to go to v3.05 to make sure the rewire engine is up to date.

I dunno. I think you may have to go to v3 to get the proper rewire engine. I think that's the only way unfortunately. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well if I upgrade, I'll have to upgrade to v4, no? Is there some way I could just upgrade to v3?
Damnit! I'm new to live and was loving the ease so far!

Nope- not to 3 unless you found somebody selling it.
4's worth it, though, and the upgrade price's the same no matter what version you're upgrading from:

Can´t remember if this is the same problem I once had, but try to deactivate multicore support for rewire in the preferences.

Nope- that won't do it. His problem's that he needs at least 3.0.5 to run on an IntelMac.
