Hehe - thanks - yeah, that's what triggered my suggestion. But it's a class song - up there with Careless Whisper in the upper echelons of bringing back embarrassing memories of school discos.

Rave, you're right, mere mortals can't compete with the straight midi file. I've gone audio instead, but I reckon I'll get the first mix up tomorrow (depending on hangover). It's not exactly a cover version, but it is Last Christmas, so obeys the rule that there are no rules...

Just a rough outline so far - needs dubbing up in the middle section - needs a better mix, etc.

I wish I'd never found that midi file... FFS. everything I do pales into insignificance in comparison to to the sheer awesomeness of general midi...

I'm still working on it. My 3 year old is getting involved "I think you should use zebra for that dad" "shut up, the GM synth is shit hot"
