Hi, What do you mean exactly? I don't think any of the Live controls are fixed in a chart as such - only the defined instant mappings. This file...

User/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 7.0.12/UserRemoteScripts/InstantMappings-HowTo.txt

...explains how create your own instant mappings.

Is that what you're after?

well, i'm not sure exactly.
i've never looked into this area of ableton. in fact, there are a lot of areas i haven't explored in ableton yet.
a lot of abeltons features are hidden, and i'm trying to get into them deeply...

Its just, with this piece of gear, there are so many variables, and I'm trying to work out the bugs, but not having much luck..

I was looking for the same thing a while ago, but there doesn´t seem to be any. It would be cool if you could go into a preset of the bcr and have operator then fully mapped. This is possible with other vsts that have the midi implementation chart, as far as I can tell.

That's not how Live works. Midi mappings are totally customizable.

I wouldn't say Live's features are "hidden". Read the manual and just about every function should be explained.

If you look into "instant mapping" (manual!) you'll find that there are presets for the BCR. Maybe even do the lessons on "control surfaces".

so, it looks like i'm limited to only 8 channels of auto maps?
It seems that only instant mapped controls respond properly with my BCR2000. I need the BCR to receive the midi status back from the channel faders and pans so it coincides and displays properly on the LEDs... It also says that Ableton has been this way since version 6, and it is limited to that, so you can't add anymore instant maps. Is this true? I can't get 16 channels of instant mappings to my BCR2000?
I like the way instant mapping works, but I need to be able to add more instant maps.... Pans, Solos, Mutes, Sends, Volume, all at least up to 16 tracks...

am I missing something here? did i mis read something?

Use Mackie mode on your BCR.

yeah. looks like i'll be venturing into that soon...

how customizable is the BCR in mackie mode. There's probably quite a few features I won't use. But, i'm very interested in it communicating with Live properly.

thanx..

The latest BCR2k Mackie emulation is prob easily customisable but tbh works so well you wont need to customise anything as it has all the funtions covered.

Also, the Yahoo BCR/ BCF user groups a wealth of information, many ppl more than happy to help with more in depth tech questions.
