Exactly. I'm always blown away by those movies. I don't know what it is. It's all just amazing shit.

My gf is a big fan of these movies.
She collects them, buy's the dvd's and such.
I liked My Neighbor Totoro :D

Tales from Earthsea was a bit dissapointing after reading the book first.

Yeah, I really liked Howl and all the rest of the Ghibli fare. The funny part about Ghibli is Miyazaki himself. He is a brilliant man who makes amazing movies about passion, love and hope but he himself is a chain smoking, dour, gloomy man who is reputed to be a very poor father. It is hilarious to watch him give interviews... Ayway, I am really excited to see Ponyo sometime next year.

Spirited Away is one of my all time favorite movies and Princess Mononoke is a beautiful one, like a better version of (please don't flame me) Star Wars somehow... *ducks*

For those who like Ghibli stuff:
If you're ever in Tokyo, go see the museum. It's near Kichijoji, and well worth it.
They even have their own Ghibli beer.
What's not to like?
