i had a thread on here about 8bit samples awhile ago.... and Mosca pointed me to this totally sweet app http://www.cyd.liu.se/~tompe573/hp/project_sfxr.html

It randomly generates video game style sounds effects..... Bleeps and Bloops!!

I've taken the time to generate about 300 sounds and separate them into different genre's: laser/shoot, jump, coin/pickup, hit/hurt, etc...

I've put each group into a drumrack with some macro mapped FX for you. Also use some of the blips to create some playable simpler instruments for more control of you melody and such. The explosions genre is totally sweet for percussive stuff. Automate the tranpose macro for happy fun times.

If you don't have drumracks (new in Live 7) download the pack and you'll find the samples in the project folder under "imported". From there you can drop them in on a channel or load them into impulse/battery what have you.

I've decided to share this pack free of cost because of all the help I've got from this forum. Don't ever leave... *single tear*

*edit: go to manage files, edit project, export to library in order to install the files and drum racks into your library for easy use.

hey no prob. Now if anyone knows how to make a live pack where it installs straight to your library that'd be sweet to know...
