i have ableton running fine w/ addictive drums and rapture but when i save my work, close and go to reopen again it causes ableton to freeze and crash. the files i saved will no longer open, corrupted or i dunno what. im wondering if there is a proper sequence to shutting ableton down when having addictive drums and rapture windows open? or do i also have to save what ive made with addictive and rapture through those programmes? any ideas?
same problem

I have the same problem also.......
Older versions of 7.0.X no problem, but this seems to have just occurred with 7.0.14 which I loaded over the weekend. All my old projects (which are fine) have a "Samples" sub-folder associated with the project. My latest 7.0.14 created song (which now seems to be toast.......) does not.
Anyway it would be good to find out what the problem is - it is a little bit inconvenient not to be able save ones work currently......
Thanks,
Samples Folder.....

Doh!
Have found out the "Samples" folder just contains audio & has nothing to do with this issue. My apologies......
But still having no joy getting the 7.0.14 saved project to re-open......

Seems that my problem was down to some of the plug-ins I used (Rob Papen's Blue & RG). Once I removed these plug-ins my retrieving saved projects problem went away.
Hope that helps!

The issue had with Live crashing was solved by the folks at Rob Papen. I have been using the Novation SL keyboard with Automap - Automap is fantastic to use.....but doesn't work well with all VST plug-in products. And I found to my cost that both Blue & RG do not work with the current version of Automap (v.2.1). So I removed the Automap VST mappings for RG & Blue & bingo, got my project back!
Thanks to the folks at Rob Papen for such a speedy response (even though it was the Christmas period - well impressed).

yes, i went out and bought another 2gb of ram and everything runs fine for me now. the problem was not having enough ram to load projects that used plug ins.
doesnt quite sound like your problem though.
