I need a small (and cheap?) midicontroller. WHat i need is more knobs!
the Drehbank from Doepher would have been perfect but is not anymore...
The bcr is way to big..
The m-audio x-session has completly changed its small look.
Uc-16 is gone and uc-33 is to big, plus i have a Faderfox Lv-2 so i don1t need the faders.
Last but not least. The knobs can NOT be endless or i would have got me a Faderfox ld-2.
Does anyne hav any tips?

What's wrong with endless?
Nanocontrol supposedly has non-endless knobs.

My lovely girlfriend got me a nanokontrol for Xmas, I love it so far.
Fits in a laptop bag, cheap, works great, not a single complaint.

hmm maybe that nanothingy... had not to many knobs though... and looks like it could easily break. But absolutly an option!
Not endless 'cos i would like to look at my controller in stead of the screen. And also i would like to not have to turn ten times around to do a filthersweep like i have to on my Lv-2...

Just got a nanocontrol myself. Cool product and it has 9 non-endless knobs. Under a hundred bucks Canadian.

yeah well that is one option. Now my question. Is there a small midicontroller with more knobs than the nanokontrol? And by small i mean smaller than uc-33...
God i wish the uc-16 was still around...
Have anyone tried the Novation Nocturn Desktop?
It has nine knobs and 8 diffrent banks for them? is that right? and can you turn of that automap?

you said you didn't want endless encoders

8 knobs, plus a "smart knob", xfader, and 8 buttons, presets with up to 16 or 17 pages (banks) times 16 channels (presets), for user midimaps> you don't have to use the automap feature. and if you wanted, automapped plugs can easily be reconfigured to your liking. there is an led ring to show where you are parameter wise. very user friendly, all right build quality... no controller feedback for which page you are on, so the hud is kinda important if you want more than 2 or 3 pages on a preset. great for eq's, comps, and other simpler efx, i don't fuck with it for instruments, save macro knobs.

I'd say the drehbank is easily as big as the BCR. Plus the BCR has endless encoders...

Tried the nanokontrol today and it is ways to plastic. Especially the knobs. Is there really no small controller with 8-16 non-endless knobs that doesn't break when i'm tweaking my filther in a hurry?
