Anybody know some samples cds or emulators of high quality to recommend, i know 808 kicks are over used but im in desperate need of them. It be appreciated thanks.

Personally, I know for me, 808's will never get old. NEVER!!!! :D

In addition to the aformentioned, check the Battery 808 kit and the logic ultrabeat kits have a few good 808's as well.....

*Protip: a lot of the dope 808's you hear on records are the result of some really good processing on top of the raw 808 sound. *

I personally can second the goldbaby tape 808.

you may also want to look into d16's nepheton

I've heard dozens of 808 kits over the years and Goldbaby is the best I've heard.

It's only 20 bucks and you can order in multiple formats.

i have lots of respect for goldbaby, but I have to say, the ableton 808 and nepheton are both really good. gets the jeep speakers pumpin.

hey thanks for all the replys i just purchased the goldbaby tape 808 collection, and i have one last question, and its probably a total noob question but how do i change the pitch of the kick drum so it can change to fit different melodies in one song? Like to be able to play the 808 kicks on a keyboard?
