Muting/deactivanting a clip in the arrangment view

Hi.

I'm reading the manual and making some simple operations on Live trying to re-edit some records. Just one simple question: is there any way to deactivate/mute clips in the arrangmente view with just one key or a keyboard shortcut? The only way I've found is to use the mouse command....

Thanks in advance for your help.

How about the F1-F12 keys?

On a mac use fn-F1 etc. if you haven't flipped the functions.

Hi,

could be a good solution but, just to point out the problem, I haven't found the way to assign the hotkey. As stated by the manual, I can assign only the orange buttons after having pressed the 'key' option...haven't found the proper function to assign... it's only available via the mouse action...

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance for your help.

command k turns on key map mode, then you select the track mute and press the button you want to control it. command k again to go back, then shift + command k to turn the midi keyboard off (only necessary if you use those keys)

Hi.

Thanks for reply. The key assignment works properly...but for the wrong function. I'd like to set the sample mute not the track mute. How can I find and assign the proper function?

+1 For this - Activate/Deactivate definitely needs to have a shortcut key
