okay im not gonna lie so im gonna b str8 up i have a cracked version of live 7.0.1 and i just recently wiped out a HP pavilion dv8315nr Media Center Notebook and put windows xp black on it and installed live the specs r

1.8 GHz AMD Turion™ 64 Mobile Technology ML-34

1024MB 333MHz DDR (2 Dimm)

100GB (4200RPM)

okay so my question is i downloaded like 5 vsts and the new sound pack and some loops from loop masters, pure magnetic and etc but i have everything saved on a 250 gb external hard drive and after i put in all the plugins and loops my cpu runs like complete shit now it super slow and takes forever to start up and live is all i have on this laptop so is it cuz its on xp black and i should install windows xp or do u think it was the plug ins and vts and loops because before i just had basic live and never had a problem with the laptop.

so what do u guys think????

yea im new this is my first post so dont bash on me

Be legal about it.... try the demo and maybe you'll get some help.

Download the 14 day trial, people will help if you have problems with that.

You say you've only got Live installed on it, but doesn't XP Black have a large number of cracked commercial applications pre-installed as well?

FAIL.
chrisf24 wrote:windows xp black
FAIL.
chrisf24 wrote:4200RPM
FAIL.

As has been suggested, get the latest demo version of Live if you want to try before you buy.

I'd also suggest a clean install of XP. Not that black nonsense.

Hopefully your external drive is faser than your internal?

What is 'XP Black'? Is that some h@x0rZ Win-blows program?

Yup.

It's pretty much exactly that. And yup, it blows as far as I can tell (never felt the need to stray from my fully licensed XP Pro).

You should still think about a faster system hard drive and maxing out the ram, if you can.
