No luck on Google, so maybe someone here knows?
I have an old Nokia 7270 mobile and a Nokia USB cable. On a PC, I can download the Nokia PC Suite from their site and then use that to connect with the 7270, no problems. But on a Mac?
OSX (Leopard) System Profiler sees that it's connected via USB to the 7270, the mobile knows it has a cable attached, but nothing comes up in Finder on the Mac, so I can't transfer any data to/from the phone.
Anyone any ideas?

The 7270 has Infrared, but my MBP doesn't have an IR port (unless you can hack the remote control interface so that it can be used for file transfer).
But it's strange that it's halfway there with USB - appearing in the System Profiler - but the key part to allow USB MS with the 7270 is missing in OS X, I guess.

Further info: am using Nokia DKU-2 USB cable which, as mentioned, works fine on Windows machines, but still no joy on Mac...
I have a N95 and the transfer software.
UP on the top bar, click on the icon for transfer and selcte : tools and settings > Open nokia device for transfer. There you go... You can also try clicking on add device if that doesn't work from the same panel.
Alternatively if its music you want to transfer the phone should appar as a playlist in your itunes. Just drag the tracks/other playlists you want into that playlist and hit start transfers up in the top bar.
If it's pictures you want to move from phone to mac, open up iphoto and there should be an import button.
Thanks, but what I mean is that my 7270 is not recognised by the Nokia Multimedia Transfer application at all. If I go Tools & Settings -> Open Nokia Devices Browser... then all I get is an empty pop up window with only an empty favourites collection folder on the left hand side, the contents of which are empty. But there is nothing else at all on the window to browse.
If I go Tools & Settings -> Add Device... it asks me to connect my Nokia to my Mac with a USB cable, even though I'm physically connected already (and that connection is seen my the Mac's System Profiler). The devices list in the Add Device pop up is empty.
Similarly in iPhoto or iTunes, the 7270 does not appear in the list of drives for importing...

The cumbersome workaround I'm doing at the moment, when I'm not at work and can use a PC, is:
Mac -> bluetooth -> Nokia N6233
N6233 -> infrared -> N7270
...it's pain in the arse, but it works. But at some point I'll have to return the loaned 6233, which is why it'd be good if this USB cable worked... Hmmmm.....
