Wow, this looks fantastic - a generative sequencer, but that can be limited, controlled. and Mac too - makes a change from all the cool free software being PC only..

Yeah i thought this too, you could rig the MIDI up to a cheesy 80's synth and make your own game show thing..
I'll have an Ab please bob.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I hope you enjoy using Elysium and look forward to hearing what you do with it.
There's a
slew of features coming and I'd
welcome your feedback.
Although I open sourced the project on Jan 1st it's probably just going to be me working on it for some time to come (but any offers of help will be gratefully taken up!) so progress may be a little slow. Have to keep paying the rent unfortunately.
But I aim to release 1.0 (with better support for creating more interesting rhythmic structures) in a month or so.

Really looking forward to putting it through the ropes.
Reminds me of a couple popular board games: Catan, and Knizia's Ingenious
I'm looking at the tokens, and I'm trying to figure out some game rules for using your sequencer.[/u]

Am i missing some thing?
Or is there a way to sequence control data already, if not, is it possible to add that?

You mean to send MIDI CC data along with the notes?
Right now there is no built-in support although, at a pinch, I could probably do it using the built-in scripting support. In principle it wouldn't be a hard thing to add.
Feel free to
post something more detailed about what you had in mind and how you would see it working. If it's not too difficult I might try and squeeze something into 1.0.

Hi Matt,
I'm quite busy designing my new studio, but playing all afternoon with Elysium was a very welcome distraction from reading books and forums on acoustics. So no real contributions from my side in the coming time, but a warm thanks. Enjoy it a lot!

Yup..
Thats exactly what i mean.
Even better yet, being able to send CC's independent of note would be very cool
