Slice to Midi problem

I keep having this issue and just know it has to be something i'm overlooking.
Everytime I slice a loop to Midi the notes/slices all fade out or tail off towards the end while they're playing. The loop itself plays fine before slicing it. The note will fade out even if I slice it as a single bar.
Anyone with any idea as to why i'm having this issue help would be very much appreciated.

You should consolidate the warped file before.

PSaqs, assuming you're using the 'built-in' slice preset, check that the Decay setting is all the way up. sounds like you may have it set somewhere in the middle, which would create the fading of each hit. if that still doesnt help, put a Note Length device in front of the Drumrack.

I've tried playing around with the macro settings (Attack, decay etc.) with no luck. Man this is frustrating. Could it be because i'm attempting to slice a section from an MP3?
chapelier, can you explain consolidating the warped file? What im doing is loading the file in an audio track, selecting the portion i want to slice and then going from there.

Assuming you have turned up your decay and release to full and the problem is still occurring, try this: Make a copy of the clip you are slicing, and then crop it so that just the portion of the clip you want to keep (the part you are slicing). This MAY have something to do with the issue, although I have never run into this issue before so I could be way off.

It is possibly because you are playing back the track at a tempo other than te original one. The reason it sounds OK before you slice it is because it is warped. Unfortunately it is not the warped version that is sliced but the original version. Slow it down to 20bpm and see what I mean.
The issue is covered in this thread...
