anyone come up with a decent way of naming audio files to keep track of key, length, bpm, style, ect.? i've had no luck myself. just end up with long complicated lines of gibberish. hints? tips? tricks? johns?

and, if and when someone blesses me with an ingenious way of organizing myself, anyone know of a way to go about renaming my audio files without having to rename both the name in the finder (os 9, i don't know if windows users have this problem) and the name as it appears in live? i went ahead and renamed all my files so as to cut down of complications, only to find that the clip names in live stayed the same. i cried for a week, and i hate crying. anyone with a way to help stop the tears in the future gets mega kudos.

this is how i do it:
i have folders for each type of audio.
pads
leads
stabs
drums (single shots in seperate folder inside drums)
efx
misc (lots of stuff in here tho.. need to sort it better)

then in each folder i have key/bpm (whatevers relevent) then number of beats (if relevent) and name

so for a drum loop in the drum folder i have a loop called "160dnb1bar.wav"
in the pad folder i have "cloud_pad_c#.wav"
etc...

i think you're on to something about length in the file name tho.. cuz sometimes i'm like, which one of these is a long pad. then i have to preview it and look at the length in info as its pre-playing.
