Golden Age of computer music?

The first half of the 2000's saw a rapid growth of music software. Like, at every Namm or musikmesse, something new and exciting was popping out.
In the last 2 years, some people were telling me that the good old days of development were already behind, that nothing new would come.
Well, today i get the feeling that we are entering a more "mature" phase of music technology. Collabs with Share, total control with mac for live, workflow with Live 8, all together, it feels really good and coherent
Like, Live is getting big, real big!!
What do you guys think? Is Live 8 a turning point for you?
