I am sorry, but i couldn't find a topic that this would fold nicely into.
Will MFL work when Live is in rewire slave mode? I want to use live as an instrument in Mainstage.

Seems like a valid question, though I don't quite understand the appeal of mainstage myself.
I am more interested in sending midi out from these new patches to control other items in live or externally. It would be nice if these everyday features of max were also available. I bet they are. If I keep thinking about this I may start crying.

I'd say the main appeal is having Logic's instruments and effects in a performance setup.

because mfl is inside live it ought to work in rewire mode to logic just like operator or any other of the live instruments. what doesn't work in rewire are 3rd party plug ins used in live. which is a bummer when you write a tune in live and use something like arturia's arp2600 and then want to finish the tune in logic and you can't open the arp.

Yeah, i am just concerned because i spent a hell of a lot of time working on a midi remote script and then realized that rewire slave mode means no midi remote scripts.

turns out the question was pretty ignorant.
Mainstage is not ReWire compliant.
