Disable default looping for new clips

This might be a simple question, but I still can't figure it out.
When I record a new clip in the Session view it starts playing as a loop. How can I disable it?.
I set the default Launch mode for the new clips to Trigger and Quantisation to None. However Warp and Loop buttons in the Session tab are on by default and I can't figure out the way around it.
Please help!

options - preferences - look/feel. I think, anyway, it's in the preferences, most all of the settings are in those menus.

There is nothing in look/feel that seems relevant.
I've tried different settings in the Wrap section of Record/Wrap/Launch, but it doesn't seem to make much difference.

2021, still not fixed... Looping new clips in Session View by default makes sense, but new clips in Arrangement View should not be looped. At least I can't think of a situation where that would be beneficial.

Disable the automatic loop/warp in the record/warp/launch Preferences.

I don't know why people keep suggesting "Disable the automatic loop/warp in the record/warp/launch Preferences". We are talking about MIDI clips here. It doesn't work. Create a MIDI track, then double click in empty space to create a clip. The Loop button is still enabled no matter what I set that option to.

Oops, sorry I didn't notice it was about midi clips...

Because you mention the Warp button in your OP but not MIDI. If you’re gonna get salty with peoples responses, make sure you’re in the right thread

So, is there still no way to set it by default?

Not as far as I know... It's one of those things that would take a developer 5 minutes to roll out but never gets done because it's not "high priority".

I'd be interested to have new clips not looping too.

I would also really like this feature. When working in the Arrangement view it's a real pain to have to keep turning off the Loop Switch.

Agreed. I don't compose loops, why assume that I want to. How about leaving it disabled, and if the end-user wants to use it, let them select the option.
