Ableton Forum

To my knowledge, Ableton has worked as a master to reason in the Rewire slave mode. I recently bought Ableton Live 7 LE, not thinking they would change this option. Now I've spent $120 on software that doesn't do exactly what I want, to integrate them. Is there a version I can obtain at a equal or lesser price that will work with Reason? Or a way I can use them together seamlessly without Rewire?

NRVSX, unfortunately you should have looked at the Live LE specs prior to making your purchase. Live LE does not support Rewire.

Yes, I know I should have looked at it.... but I didn't, I looking for advice to find something that will work with Rewire. I'd appreciate if my mistake wasn't re-iterated. I know I made a mistake, I'm looking for help.

No worries, I'm just pissed and frustrated that I bought a software that doesn't integrate. So, is there a version of Live that is reasonably priced that does work with Rewire?

If you're a student, check out the educational pricing and updating to full version of Live with student price. It's much cheaper than the full version.

I'm not a student, so there goes that idea.

Does Live Lite use Rewire? I have a 5.2.2 version, does that work. I know 7 LE doesn't work but will Lite 5.2.2 or Lite 7(if I upgrade)?
