Live's lousy in/out metering

So this is becoming more of a problem for me now that I am creating mixes in live rather than DP5. The meters for track outputs and inputs sux-I'm supposed to monitor my inputs/outputs clipping on these tiny meters on the right side of the tracks (in arrangement view)? I suppose I could switch over to session view, but those meters aren't much bigger, and I would like to see the arrangement & its associated automation whilst recording playback.

Is there a way to make the audio meters bigger? For clarity's sake, here's my setup:

For my "songs", I usually have 8-10 stereo audio tracks. I mix "outside the box", so I usually have 5 stereo tracks out to my mixer and sum whatever needs to be summed in order to get these 8-10 stereo tracks to 4-5 outputs. That being said, I usually monitor the outputs of each track to make sure they're not clipping, as well as the input from the mixer to make sure my stereo mix isn't clipping. Trying to monitor 8-10 outputs plus my master input just sux on these tiny meters.

Any ideas?

you can resize the meters both horizontally and diagonally...
try dragging the line above the meter...
and sideways on the track header to reveal the dB meter numbers...

edit :

I see what you mean...
but I think you can monitor the outs by just observing the mixer meters...
above 0 means digital clipping...

unfortunately, the backlight on my laptop went out, so I can't really see it what you're talking about works. I'm really just looking for a way to make these tiny meters in the arrangement view a little more viewable while still being able to look at the arrangement itself.

thanks!

...oh well... the actuall mixer is in 'session'....
a quick press of 'tab' will get you there...
in session you can view the arrangement overview....
you could get a 3rd party that gives you meters...
I dunno...
this doesn't bother me... never has.. I don't mind switching between arr and sess...

Session View is the designated mixer view. There you can drag the mixer view up and make it wider for better monitoring. The monitoring in all DAWS, including DP, leaves a bit to be desired IMHO. If you are really serious about metering, there are other options such as Roger Nichols Digital Inspector XL

http://www.rndigital.org/inspectorXL.html

A bit pricey at 249 dollars or 125 dollars for educational discount but the best metering I've seen. Only Wavelab has metering that comes close in the box.
