If you type in a value in the Clip Loop Position field that's greater than the end of your file, Live will still place a loop there, even though the file is not that long.

Bug?

That is a feature. You can add silence to clips by moving your start/end/loop markers beyond the limits of the sample.

That's actually one of the best new features I've heard about so far! :)

On my scripts that plug in x bar loops, it bollock's up if the end of the loop is beyond the end of the track.

Imagine the situation... You're approaching the end of a track and are imminently going to run out of song. Ha ha! I'll bung down an 8 bar loop in the outro and loop it whilst I drop/bring in the next track. All fine, except Live helpfully loops for 7.3.4 bars and everything sounds shit!

There's no way to rectify the problem in this situation without mousing to the loop length box and entering in a value that's less than the end of the song (and you have about 10s to do this).

Ta,

J

The whole audio warping thing, I feel like the first time I ever used Live trying to understand how it all works. It seems a lot more logical and powerful though so three cheers!

Hi,

In the future, the start and end of material will also be snap points in the detail view, so it makes it easy to go back to the original clip length.

I'll lock htis thread now, please open one in the discussion section if you want to discuss some behaviour issues.

Regards,
Amaury
