Hi,
If the same MIDI device is used for track input and remote input, while in MIDI mapping mode, all MIDI messages go to the mapping mechanism.
Would it be what happens for you?

not sure I follow, but I can map things no problem, it's the midi input indicator 'LED' that's broken.
I opened options-preferences-midi
then I hit ctrl-m to go into midi map mode
I toggled REMOTE, SYNC and TRACK for a device and the midi input indicator at the very most upper right corner did not blink, even though I could assign controls to the mpc's midi.
if midi map is off, the midi in 'LED' works fine.

Hi,
I moved the topic as this is no bug: the MIDI indicator for remote mapping only blinks when a MIDI knob or button does control something. In map mode, it doesn't control anything, it gets mapped. It's the same in Live 7.
