the demo seems to run fine, but i have yet to decide if they work well together.
if someone does think they work well together, could you also say why you prefer it to the standalone?

I have, But with Live wired into Sonar or FL Studio...No apparent problems/issues....The plugin version is much more versatile, you may find that the individual modules work well on single tracks.Having access to them separately is a big plus. As For the whole rack at once- I've found that sending the entire output coming from Live enhances the sound nicely giving it a bit more clarity and umphh.. The IK Multimedia support has been top notch too, sending replies to my original questions very quickly....

Is t-racks24 the plugin version? If not then what is the difference between that and just t-racks. I'm also considering picking this up for finallizing tracks. T-racks24 is cheaper than T-racks, why so?

t-racks 24 is the stand-alone, $100 cheaper than the plug-in (at least on the IK website, if you are patient you can get a better deal by shopping around online).
i'm not that patient, and based on mrruby's 'more versatile' comment, i think i'm going for the plug-in (after trying the demo and reading a few other favorable reviews...)

Ahh, okay. I would rather pay more a plugin version as well. In the end while you are using standalone you would curse yourself for not getting a version that will run inside your sequencer.
i've been trying

i've been trying to get my rtas t-racks plug-in to work with live.
Is this the T-Racks plug that came with the Digidesign/Live/Reason/Amplitube bundle? If so, it only works as an RTAS plugin running inside of ProTools LE.
If you've purchased the full version of T-Racks, it should show up as a VST inside of the full version of Live 2.0. I'm not sure if Live 2.0 Digidesign Edition can support VST effects.
For what it's worth, you can upgrade to Live 4.0 for $249 download or $279 boxed, and Live 4.0 will work with VST or AU effects plugins.

I find these plugs quite useful as Audio Units in Live 4 here...
Waves quality with a more analog attitude.
Serious research was done regarding the emulation of analog circutry in these plugs, and they show it...

do you think i'll be able to test run the full RTAS t-racks plug-in (what i have) in the live 4 beta? is there any one else that can answer this question? do tell!

RTAS is a ProTools specific system, and a closed standard. You cannot run RTAS plugins in Ableton Live. You can however get the VST or AU versions of T-Racks and run them in Live quite well! I am not sure, but I beleive if you own the RTAS T-Racks, you get the VST and AU automatically.

Vercengetorex is right, and I bought the plug-in two days ago. I believe that RTAS is an option in the custom install.
Hey Vercengetorex, I'm fairly pleased with what the AU/VST can do, but as always, CPU overload in Live remains an issue. Since this is my first foray into the daunting task of mastering, can you perhaps confirm the obvious -- i.e. should I remove all of Live's eqs and utilities and compression from my sets and put my faith in T-Racks alone?
Do you generally add, for example, one T-R eq or compression to a track and avoid using the suite?
I guess obviously it depends on what kind of music you are making, but I would just appreciate hearing about your success stories.
Thanks!
