take a looped clip in the arrangement that has a visible loop point
select time from the left (right) edge of the clip past the loop point
create fade in (out)

the created fade only goes to the loop point, rather than through the entire time selection

[EDIT] on more investigation, this appears related to the fact that crossfades don't appear centered in the middle of time selection (which definitely looks like a bug). if you select time and have a visible loop point within the selection, the middle point is taken from the loop point instead of the enire time selection. [Although there are other cases, when the crossfade is also done over a shorter time than the entire time selection. no idea why. ]

A clip loop jump is a limit for fades. That has to do with how our engine works.

When there is enough material, the crossfade is created for the entire time selection, otherwise it's adapted to what's available, without throwing an error message, which would come as annoying.

Thanks, yes it's clear now. I guess one could work around by consolidating unwrapped loops first.
