Is it possible to create a X/Y control pad in ableton to control note on's or even the note pitch of an arpeggiator?

Anyone tried this.

Pretty much what the Kaososilator does but in Ableton. Pitch going up, rythm going left/right.

I've been pondering the same thing lately myself. The whole Kaoss thing is
just so much fun. This is way out of my league, though, but I suspect the
answer might be of the "Max For Live" flavour...
