Yup, he withdrew. Good. Obama's willingness to compromise on major promises has been a bit disheartening so far, but this is a step in the right direction.

If you read Huffington Post, another nominee, Nancy Killefer removed herself for "bungling payroll taxes for her household help (paraphrasing)"

This is the second or third time in the nomination processes that nominees have been withdrawn after only a few days of intense Netbased scorn storms. Thats a pretty positive sociotechnological effect.
