[4648][4320]8b5, saved preset racks with VST/AU plugs

On OS X.
Bug 1:
When using AU/VSTs, I've previously in Live 7 occasionally mapped a specific 8 parameters to 8 rack macros, saved this rack as a preset, and loaded this rack rather than the AU/VST. I really like the ability to do this, it is a workflow improvement.
This is no longer functioning well for AU/VST with over 128 parameters. AU/VST in this case seem to forget all the parameters trained in Live8's new 'configure' mode; the rack macros don't affect any parameter of the AU/VST.
Racks made with AU/VST under 128 parameters have worked fine.
I don't recall previous Live 8 betas having this problem, I'm fairly sure it was introduced in b5.
Bug 2+3: The 'load preset' for a VST under OS X crashes Live. It's clearly marked 'Windows only' in the info view tooltip, but that just makes me want to press it more.
Since I crashed twice doing this, the help menu in 8b5 is grayed out (an unfinished bug report was being made at the time of the second crash, irony?)
