When I move Live off my laptop and onto my 23" screen, and hit full size, it positions itself about an inch above the bottom of the screen.

change your resolution settings on that monitor

Why? Live 7 goes full screen no problem. I'm pretttttttttttttttty sure 8 should do the same.
