[awi] Hard disk overload when playing sample from RAM
Posted: Thu Feb 05, 2009 6:43 pm
I've got a pretty simple track set up
7 Tracks
4 Midi tracks:
2 x Drum Rack, 1 x Analog, 1 Audiorealism Bassline
3 Audio audio Tracks
Since I installed my usb audio interface the hard disk overload keeps flashing when the sample on one of the audio tracks plays (always the same sample).
I can have all midi tracks, all the samples on both drum racks and the other 2 audio tracks playing together and it plays fine. But every time the other audio sample (44.1KHz, 16bit stereo, 1 bar/word vocal) plays, the hard disk overload lights up. Even if only that sample plays and all effects are turend off.
Even when I set every instance of the sample to be played form the RAM it still lights up
Freezing the track solves the problem.
The samples are all stored on the same hard disk. Though the one causing problems is in the project folder on my desktop & the others are from the library and my samples folder, (both in the user documents folder)
