Apparently a photo turned up of record-breaking Olympic athlete Michael Phelps toking on a bong at a college party. The sheriff of that county is looking to make a name for himself.....
Sheriff Leon Lott wrote:If we can prove it, we will charge him. And we're looking into it. I just don't think you can have something like this done and publicized and say, 'I’m sorry,' and we're supposed to forget about it. He broke the law. And if we can prove he was smoking marijuana in Richland County, then he can be charged...
Hmm, so the world's greatest athlete smokes weed? Wow.

nice.
these are the same gutter journalists who 6 months ago were posting inane articles on the election. I don't mind the change of topic.
I hope they charge him, find him guilty, and give him the appropriate $100 fine. just like the end of 'Inherit the Wind'. (the punishment for the crime is negligible, making a farce of the topic.)

At least I'm going for a career in the entertainment industry - I don't have to give a shit about my possession ticket.
Seriously, though, screw being a role model - the grief isn't worth it.

I just find it insane that we spend a penny prosecuting pot charges. What a waste of taxpayer dollars. I can't wait 'til Obama legalizes it. AND I'm not a pot smoker. (was formerly, wife doesn't like it. Small thing to give up to keep her happy.)

the problem with weed is that it can be a gateway drug and lead on to more harmfull substances like say, tobacco.
This tobacco shit will kill you man, so if he was chuffing on a marlboro it would have been far worse imo.
