Who should we hate on next?

I don't know if this means electronica is stagnating in general but there seems to be a lack of recently successful artists that everybody is hating on for it. So who's the Tiesto/Justice/Deadmau5 of the moment and why do we hate them?
I like to keep up on these things.

I never figured out why people hate on Tiesto. Deadmau5 I can understand - he's a dick who is filled with hot-hair. But, Tiesto? What, is it his lack of skill in beat-matching, production (does he even produce his own songs?), and just overall taste in music?
I'm not sure, but I've always enjoyed his ISOS albums.

First I think it's a general hatred of the genre he spins, but more importantly there are countless videos of him doing not much while surrounded on stage by hundreds of thousands of dollars in lights and other eye candy and up on a pedestal like he's some sort of God. Proficient DJ? Yes. But there are hundreds, if not thousands, of other DJs who's skills far surpass his on just about every level of DJing. He's the definition of "right place, right time" and the masses are so brainwashed that it will never end.

I think we should choose: memes_33
He's not only posting multiple songs in the general forum, but they're gay-ass, (I mean Faggoty-ass) mash ups.
I haven't heard them. I'm just judging them by the title. Anyway, we gotta choose someone. Why not him FFS?
Who's with me?

I'm ready to start hating on Rave's smiley face sig. That's a start, anyway.

Agreed! That's just too frickin' happy for this forum.

Nice. We should keep the hate in-house.
So while we're at it, I don't remember the user name, but whoever has that picture of the line drawing guy banging his head into a bloody pulp against a computer really fucks up my forum experience at work. It freezes up my browser every time I scroll to it, not to mention it's so last year.
Not really hating on the man, but hating on the signature.

Ever since TITBAG disappeared, b0unce slowed down his posting, and TD and I chose to ignore each other rather than get into it, things haven't been the same.

No I kid, it's been nice. I can't take the internet seriously to hate on anybody.
Tiesto never bothered me, he plays shitty music for people who like that sort of thing. Why is it surprising that the most square jawed GQ looking dude is the most famous person playing shallow dance pop?? It would be strange if it was genres of intellectual merit he spun, and that crowd was wooed by his biceps, but a bunch of tanning booth 20 something club goers? No surprise at all.

it's hard to hate on somebody special at the moment because they (almost) all sound the same.. some call this the minimal movement.
so we have to hate on what happens to electronic music in general and on the people who support the boring standard music by buying it.

you could hate on me. It seems most in my circle/web would love too considering my samplework. I am a criminal. Hate on me, please.

That avatar is quite common.
So it's the Tiesto of avatars and somebody needs to let them know it's no longer clever.

i just always hate on pop music
pop music tends to be soulless mass produced crap. created only to market.
who's the latest plastic pop star?
i'm sure there lots to hate on out there.

The question for today: Who stole the soul?
Who turned this special delivery into a box of assorted chocolates?
Sometimes I wish Al was still Green.
Oh, I sound like my momma:
"Boy, put that Teddy Pendergrass on and take off that noise you list'nin to."
And me and Chuck Steel wanna know,
Who took the sunshine and turned it into microwavable popcorn for profit?
And I am by no means anti pop music....
simply because pop is not a musical form
But what blares through my box is hollow.
Do you actually think Marvin would be gay if he heard what I hear through the grapevine?
Empty minded music.
In fact it's so empty that if you glared into an R&B ear,
The only benefit would be the wall on the other side.
The actors sing.
The singers act.
Please choose a career and stick to it, polishing it before moving on.
Sam & Dave would roll over tenfold in their graves
If they knew that their sweet soul music evolved into sour sexual practices.
Young men rushing to prison to prove their manhood lacking father figures.
And this is surely not the same do-wop that Sam Cook and Aretha Franklin mixed with gospel.
Who stole the soul?

I used to go to school with this guy named Kris.
He would discreetly pick his nose when he thought no one was watching and smear it on the inside of his desk.
About an hour later he would break it off and eat it.
This was in 3rd grade. For some reason I never forgot that. Even then I thought it to be peculiar behavior.
Later in life he would purposely shit his pants at parties, you know, just as a joke.
This I never understood.

This is gross as shit and hilarious all at the same time. Sounds like a great guy.
