GT-6 and Live

i own a Boss GT-6 and i don't use it anymore to make music. But i would like to know if anyone has already used it to control live 'caus it has midi in/out .
If so, does it work well ?
I would like to run my guitar signal into live, use some Live audio effect (control with my GT6) before running it to my amp.
