why are mixes sound awful on the myspace player? is it:

1-bad mixes? (even thought elese where they sound pretty fair)

1-myspace player encoding?

Can someone explain to me what's the problem and how to solve it?

The problem is that it sucks, nothing you can do about it

Myspace compresses the fuck out of anything you upload, which is why it sounds shite.

You can't do anything about it except, maybe don't use the myspace player. You could always embed a better player into your myspace page.

Yeah!It does suck !Everything that goes trough that damn player is compressed and converted to 96 kbs.Why even bother master your trackz,when people hear
an awful 80 like casette quality sound.

Although some really famous artist get a sweat deal with mr. Tom :)) and get to upload their trackz @ 320 kbs bitrate.That sucks too!

Get your trackz uploaded somwhere else and embed the "whatever" third party player you get in your profile.That's the only way to put ou polished stuff 4 people to hear!

I got it but i also know artists that are not major but get to have a good quality sound from that player...
I also read on other forums there are some tricks like opening the high or something in that direction... Could that be possible?

Sure, you could make it sound *a bit* better with clever EQing, but it's still gonna be compressed down to 96kbps so it's only ever going to be as good as 96kbps will sound.

<PureConjecture>
I guess you could try "mastering" it yourself at 96kbps - I'm pretty sure I could do a better job of that than myspace does (I hope so at least!) - get it sounding as good as you possibly can at that rate, then perhaps myspace wouldn't need to compress it... Wouldn't sound as good as a mix at a higher bitrate, but at least you'd hear it on the player as you uploaded it. Still only going to be 96kbps though!

IMHO you're much better off embedding a different player.
